The United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) was established following the Stockholm Agreement, signed on 13 December 2018 in Sweden between the Government of Yemen and the Houthis. This agreement sought to establish a governorate-wide ceasefire and facilitate the mutual redeployment of forces from Hudaydah and its ports. The United Nations Security Council, via resolution 2451, authorized an advance team to support the agreement's implementation, and later, resolution 2452 formalized UNMHA as a Special Political Mission. UNMHA's primary role includes monitoring the ceasefire and overseeing the redeployment of forces. The mission is managed by the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (UNDPPA). Currently, 01 Staff Officer from Bangladesh Armed Forces is deployed in UNMHA.
