- Financial approval of the government of all foreign procurement and capital purchase in local currency.
- Government approval of emergency procurement.
- Process procurement related protocol/barter deal/agreement/government to government procurement etc.
- Approval of Explosive Regulation/Ammunition Dump/Depot/Storeroom related deviation statement.
- Process approval of remittance.
- Technical and financial control over defence industries.
- Process and approval of AIP and Government Order (GO) for all types of foreign visit in connection to procurement.
- Coordinate/approve/issue GO for foreign visitors in connection to procurement or related seminar/call on/ conference etc.
- Approval of arms and ammunition procurement by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Coast Guard.
